This is major news as Johan Leven is a heavyweight in the world of corporate business and the financial sector.

Let’s meet Johan Leven

Johan Leven is a founding partner of Quintus Partners, which is an independent financial advisory firm. Quintus has global experience in private capital raising services, mergers and acquisitions. They work with major companies in Asia, the U.S and Europe, and also specialise in key investments in growth companies.

Prior to founding Quintus, Johan Leven worked for Goldman Sachs, where he was in charge of mergers and acquisitions in Asia Ex-Japan and also was in a number of other leadership roles. Following Goldman Sachs, Johan Leven was at the fore of the roll-out of Barclay’s client coverage organisation in the Asia-Pacific region.

Driving Studycat forward

Johan Leven brings with him to Studycat many years of corporate, finance and leadership experience which will springboard Studycat onto the global stage in EdTech and enable Studycat to increase its market share within the EdTech industry, which is slated to be worth $252 billion by the end of 2020. Leven’s appointment as Chairman of Studycat shows just how quickly Studycat is moving to be a major player in the industry with it’s world-class apps and digital tools. Johan Leven’s appointment also comes after a ground-breaking agreement with JiaJia TV, which is China’s equivalent of the Cartoon Network to provide educational slots within children’s educational TV channels. Things are moving quickly for Studycat.

What Johan has to say

Johan Leven said: “I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to take on this new role at an exciting time in the development of the global edtech industry. Improving language learning outcomes for children across the world is a worthy aim and it is very rewarding to help the company realise this ambition. Studycat’s strong content creation and game development skills, rooted in its deep educational experience, make it ideally placed to expand its offering and I look forward to contributing to its continued growth.”

Mark Pemberton, co-founder of Studycat, said: “We are privileged to confirm Johan as Chairman of the Studycat board. The growth of our tech-based connected learning approach, with a combination of traditional and new and innovative techniques for learning, is creating better outcomes for young learners. Johan’s appointment will strengthen our ability to benefit children, parents, schools and teachers across our global markets as we work to ensure that millions more can access our language learning solutions.”

Huge growth awaits Studycat

With millions of downloads, Studycat is empowering children to learn languages differently to children in the past. Our digital tools encourage connected learning and learner autonomy in children. The future is very bright for Studycat and we warmly welcome Johan Leven as Chairman.
